I grew up watching anime and playing video games, so it was only natural for me to do some learning when it came to editing and projects by using those two mediums that I already thoroughly enjoy. Seeing the massive popularity of video games on TikTok and Youtube I decided to try my hand at finding and editing viral clips and videos for Youtube and Tiktok.
TikTok
I decided to make a TikTok account and edit some clips to see:
How easy is it to grow a TikTok account
How easy is it to make quick edits for socials for content creators.
I discovered both of those are very easy to accomplish. After 12 days of daily posting I was reaching big numbers with multiple videos sitting around 1m views on my Apex Legends TikTok account and started maintaining a regular audience.
Youtube
With Youtube, I noticed a gap in content around Apex Legends tournament casts being uploaded at full length. Due to copyright with the streams they didn’t stay up on Twitch as VODs and they weren’t being anywhere else. I took the opportunity to do it myself and see if there was an audience wanting this content. Apparently, there was as the first two uploads had over 100k views with an average watch time of 30 minutes.
